First, Babson, at its core, is all about entrepreneurial thought in action. It is in our DNA—it is woven into the entire learning experience. We have been ranked No. 1 in entrepreneurship by U.S.News & World Report for 16 consecutive years, and #1 by The Princeton Review for the last two years. As a result of teaching this entrepreneurial mind-set, recruiters in BusinessWeek say our graduates “are grounded in the fundamentals but also have the business-building skills that are in high demand these days.” Further, the Wall Street Journal ranks us No. 9 on “which MBA program produces the most creative and innovative students.” It is no surprise that our graduates succeed across the entire spectrum of global enterprise: from Fidelity to One Hen, a nonprofit organization, from EMC to a small-cap technology company, and from a family business to a true startup. Every corner of the economy needs entrepreneurial leaders. This is our mission.
Second, our faculty is truly remarkable. Now, all schools make this claim but we strongly suggest you sign up for a classroom visit or an information session to see our faculty in action. Beyond the fact that BusinessWeek gave us an A for teaching quality, our students are amazed at the accessibility of their instructors. Not only is our faculty accessible outside of class to those who need additional assistance, but they help coach students for interviews, and are a resource for networking. More important, as a group, they bring impressive, real-world business experience to the classroom. Roger Babson founded the College in 1919 based on a need for business to be taught by business people. That mantra exists today.
Finally, our alumni are very satisfied with their decision on choosing Babson and have enjoyed success since graduation. Based on 2008 alumni surveys, our graduates have enjoyed progressive movement in job responsibility, have had significant salary gains, and report strong improvement in job satisfaction. And, in 2008, BusinessWeek ranked the College in the Top 20 for Post-MBA Salary Gain and Return on Investment. This success in the marketplace is strong evidence that our program does advance the careers of our graduates.
We thank you for considering Babson and if you would like to learn more or schedule a campus visit, please contact us.
